Subscribe to my Blog: it's like email!

As mentioned at the meeting, there is a way to stay connected to my blog to where it will email you every time I post.  That way, you will get these messages instantly and not miss anything.  I tend to put an update on the blog each day (or at least every other), so please do whatever you can to stay connected.  This will be the main way I will reach out to the 50+ families involved in Mulan Jr.

Here's the procedure on a Mac using most browsers:

1. At the bottom left of your blog is a link:  "Subscribe to: Posts (Atom)"

2. Clicking on that takes you to a feed page.

3. On the right side of this feed page they will see:

Update Now

Mail Link to this Page

Subscribe in Mail

4. If they use Mac Mail for their email, they can click : "Subscribe in Mail" and their email software will pop up with an entry under "RSS" on the left of their email window underneath their mailboxes.  

5. When they click on this new entry they will see a listing of all the current blog postings, just as if they had unread emails in a mailbox.  They can delete the ones they've read, and then when you post something new a new unread item will pop up in there.

6. If they don't use Mac Mail, there are other options.  For example, Google Reader can subscribe to feeds.  They would simply copy the link to the feed page and supply that to their RSS feed reader software.
