STAGE CREW
STAGE CREW LIST IS POSTED! Please see below for your placement.
Stage crew will not need to come to rehearsals until Monday, May 9th. On Monday, be prepared to sit and watch and jump up if needed. This first rehearsal will be designed for you to get a feel of the show, as well as obtain direction on what you will be doing during the show.
Thank you for all of the communication and interest in the stage crew. I appreciate your willingness to help!
Please note, if agreeing to participate in the stage crew, you will be asked to purchase a t-shirt. These should be around $10. You will get this from Miss Wilmes -- more future details to follow on the blog. You will need to wear this t-shirt, along with black pants and shoes each performance.

WML REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
I realize that not everyone will be able to be there at all times; however, PLEASE, may I remind you that you signed the audition form stating that the talent show would take precedence over the next two weeks. We only have 7 rehearsals, and the majority of you are only called for 3 rehearsals based on the act that you are in. Please do whatever you can to make it to your rehearsal time. If the entire group cannot be there, I would at least prefer to get who can be there. It is your responsibility to get with your group to see what you missed and make-up for this on YOUR OWN TIME.
ALL CAST/CREW are required to be there the week of the show: Monday + either Tuesday or Wednesday, depending in which section of the show you are in. Monday is the last time the entire cast will be together until opening night, so it is absolutely necessary for you to be there. Please make whatever arrangements you need to in order to be ready and on stage when it is your turn to perform.
I also except each group to practice their act on their own time. I will not be concentrating on the act itself in rehearsals, as much as I will be concentrating on the transitions and what happens before and after your act. I will tweak a few things as we go along, but please know that YOU are responsible for the content of your act.
Please bring your props and costume pieces to your first rehearsal. You can leave all props and costume pieces in the green room/prop table from here on out. Please provide a bin (laundry bin or smaller) for each group to keep all costume pieces and props inside if your group uses props/costume pieces. Please make sure to label with your name. You can keep this bin in the green room from here on out. If you do put a prop on the prop table, please make sure to label with your name. Please begin wearing final costumes on Monday, May 9th.

PLEASE READ FIRST: Director's Note
PLEASE READ FIRST:
Thank you to all who auditioned! I had close to sixty acts audition for me and was amazed at the talent level of each act. Please know that if you or your group was not cast it is not due to the fact that you are not talented. Casting is a very difficult process, and I took this task very seriously. Several factors went into casting this show. I did my best to work in as many acts in the time allotted, but please know that there was just not enough time to include everyone. If your group was not cast, I would encourage you to audition again, and I look forward to seeing you in the future!! If you were cast, you still have some hard work ahead of you, as we have a show to put on in two and a half weeks!!
There are several posts you need to look at:
WML TALENT SHOW ORDER
This list is the final list of the show order, listing the group title and members in the group.
PLEASE NOTE**: If you have two stars next to your group, you have been cast in the talent show with a contingency – meaning, if you agree to my tweak of your act, you are cast in the show. Please trust me, as these additional tweaks will help raise our show to a higher level while fitting in the Saturday Night Theme of our show.
CONTINGENCY CAST LIST
As stated above, in order to accommodate the several acts that have auditioned, as well as to stick the central theme of the show, I have cast you and your groups in the talent show based on the contengencies mentioned below. I will talk through this with you at your rehearsals with me, but please know you are only cast in the talent show if you agree to these changes below. Please do not think of these as changes, but as “tweaks”. I believe these tweaks mentioned will take our show even a step farther!!
ADDITIONAL ROLES
As mentioned on the audition sheet, I was looking for some additional group numbers that I wanted to create. Based on auditions, I have cast these additional numbers/roles to help our transitions into a SNL-themed show. Please see this list, as you might be in an addition number and/or needed in another part of the show.
Thank you to all who auditioned! I am very proud of each of you. It takes bravery to audition. Thank you for your preparedness and creativity for auditions. I look forward to working with each of you.

CONTINGENCY CAST LIST
GROUPS CAST WITH CONTENGENCIES:
In order to accommodate the several acts that have auditioned, as well as to stick the central theme of the show, I have cast you and your groups in the talent show based on the contengencies mentioned below. I will talk through this with you at your rehearsals with me, but please know you are only cast in the talent show if you agree to these changes below. Please do not think of these as changes, but as “tweaks”. I believe these tweaks mentioned will take our show even a step farther!! I am very proud of you and want to take your talent even a step further to make this show even greater than you imagined.
If you decide to decline your role in WMS live, please email me at wmstheater@gmail.com by Wednesday, April 27 at 10:00 am.
2. 100 Years (piano solo):**
Gracie Gibbons
During part of your piano solo, there will be a pre-recorded voice-over introducing the celebrity guest-stars. This will probably happen in the middle of your song. You will start playing then halfway through, the introduction will happen over your piano playing then you will finish by yourself. This will not interrupt your playing.
7. COMMERCIAL BREAK**
SKIT: Christian Robles, Margot Grom, Linsay Sasson, Nicholas Densen, Cole Bradley, Adam Krodel
SKIT: Christian Robles, Margot Grom, Linsay Sasson, Nicholas Densen, Cole Bradley, Adam Krodel
I love the idea of a commercial break; however, I would like to keep the Subway commercial more true to the original Subway commercial. Here are some ideas (these are only 30 seconds each, so feel free to do both. I can provide the original Subway theme music before or after or in between, but you will need to set the stage, as well as be the announcer). Please feel free to contact me via email.
8. SKIT: Baking a Cake**
Allie Bower, Ana Buck-Lopez, Mackenzie Jacquemin, Hannah Fridy, Sara Sasson
I really want to have you dress up as Superheros for this. You are at “Superhero Camp” where your director is trying to get you back to Acting 101. Please incorporate that into the first few seconds of your skit. You have failed as superheros, so your director is getting you back to the basics. Superhero costume ideas: (feel free to be creative) – Stuck? Examples: WonderWoman, CatWoman, Invisible Woman, SuperGirl, BatWoman.

Andrew, I would like you to wear a Superman t-shirt. If you would like, you can dress up as Superman, but I would love even just a Superman t-shirt.
10. DANCE: **
Alexis Tyree and Cheyenne Collins
Alexis Tyree and Cheyenne Collins
I need to change your song due to inappropriate language. If you still want to dance in the talent show, you can dance to Queen’s Flash, Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man” or Footloose’s “Holding Out for a Hero”. I need to see your final choreography to the above song you choose at rehearsal. This will need to be finalized before you come to rehearsal with me.
13. SKIT: Bus Stop Boys**
Herbert Meisner, Adam Frankel, Natalie Soulyrette
I would like to make this a bit more funny – Adam, since you are pretending to be a girl in this, you need to play this up a bit more (example: put on a wig, lipstick, high heels) and act like it. If you woud like, Herbert and Adam switch places.
17. CHEESE RAP**
Thomas Harmon and Jason Krause
Please be prepared to do this as you performed for me then again really fast, as we talked about at auditions. There is a possibility I might add drums to the beat, as well.

18. SONG: Rollin’ in the Deep**
Jaye Johnson, Claire Mellott, Emma Tepe, Cecily Myers, Janey Elliott, Melissa Campbell
Jaye Johnson, Claire Mellott, Emma Tepe, Cecily Myers, Janey Elliott, Melissa Campbell
I would like to give this number a swanky jazz number feel by making this a girl’s group number. I am adding in some vocals to give this a back-up jazz club feel, and I might add a few choreography steps as well. I would like to include more girls into this number. I also would like a sense of 1940s feel with your costumes – think black dress, heels, maybe a little hat or gloves.
24. SONG: “The Best Day”**
Maggie Hughes, Emily Wadds, Hope Dow
Maggie Hughes, Emily Wadds, Hope Dow
I might shorten this a bit, as you mentioned at auditions. I also might add volume to the verses by having some of you sing some of the verses together instead of by yourself. We will decide this at rehearsals.
28. PIANO SOLO: Sonatina in C Major**
Please know that you will be playing while the stage is being set up. If possible (but not mandatory), I would like you to wear some kind of restaurant apron to blend in with the staff of the café - we will talk about this at rehearsal.
29. SKIT: BEGINNING OF THE CRAZY CAFÉ**
Ellen Boster, Emi Wu, Grace Steiner, Annabelle Steiner

Please know that you will start this skit then exit. You will then come back on stage to finish your skit after the “Save Broadway skit”. We will determine the break in your skit at rehearsal.
31. DANCE: Bollywood Live!**
Noelle Poole, Ella Hipsley, Adison Burke, Lucy Walton, Ryba Napora, Katie Brown, Meera Patel
Noelle Poole, Ella Hipsley, Adison Burke, Lucy Walton, Ryba Napora, Katie Brown, Meera Patel
I would like to clean up the choreography and spacing a bit and might move a few students around – just a little tweaking.
34. DON’T STOP BELIEVING: 8th Grade Flash Mob**
Nathaniel Hipsley, Sara Sasson, Allie Bower, Mackenzie Jacquemin, Ann Bucks, Hannah Fridy, Roslyn Rathbone, Natalie Soulyrette, Asa Pranikoff, Elise Hurwitz, Isabelle Andersen, Maggie Hughes, Kayla Waldroy, Will Courtney
Please know that you might not be able to sit in chairs in the auditorium. You might have to kneel or stand in parts of the auditorium, due to probably having a full house. I love the idea of a flash mob. I will probably have you start w/o music then once you get on stage, I might add in music to sing and dance to. I also would like to space you across the stage and clean choreography a bit. Great job!
WML ADDITIONAL ROLES
ADDITIONAL ROLES:
As mentioned on the audition sheet, I was looking for some additional group numbers that I wanted to create. Based on auditions, I have cast these additional numbers/roles to help our transitions into a SNL-themed show. Please see this list, as you might be in an addition number and/or needed in another part of the show.
<Celebrity Emcee Nolan Morley as Justin Timerblake>
Nolan, please take a look at this monologue from SNL and come up with a one-minute version of this before you play the piano. You are Justin Timberlake as you play/sing “What Goes Around Comes Around”.
SNL Spiderman skit:
Spiderman, Jacob Olausen
Spiderman, Jacob Olausen
reporter, Taylor Lovejoy
Spiderman is rolled out and is interviewed by reporter, Taylor Lovejoy mimicking the SNL “Weekend Update”
Spartan Cheerleaders Skit from SNL
Roslyn – this script is coming to you
<Celebrity Emcee Maggie Hughes as Taylor Swift>
<Celebrity Emcee Maggie Hughes as Taylor Swift>
Maggie, since you sing Taylor Swift’s song with your trio, please come up with a one minute monologue mimicking Taylor Swift from her perspective. Please dress as her and become her celebrity look-a-like for this number – you are Taylor Swift with your gals as you sing this song.
<WEEKEND UPDATE: Allie Bower as Seth Myers from SNL>
Allie, I would like you to mimmick SNL’s “Weekend Update” as being the lead reporter. You will have the following guest stars:
<GUEST STAR: Stephen Barrett as Justin Bieber>
<GUEST STAR: Herbert Meisner as Charlie Sheen>
Herbert, Stephen, and Allie - I will get a script to you detailing these conversations. This will be short but will certainly add to the show theme.
SKIT: Save Broadway
I am adding the “Save Broadway” skit from SNL. Feel free to check it online, but please know that I will be editing this due to content, as well as adding and removing certain characters. Please see the list below for the characters I will use for this skit. If possible, please come up with your own costume for your character. We will go over this at rehearsal. You will also be given a script.
For a sneak peek, please go online and watch with a parent’s permission:
PARENTS – please note, there is some language and slightly inappropriate content. Please know this will be changed for WML.

TIME SLOTS
Hello auditioners,
Below you will find the scanned-in version of the list you signed up on in advance for the talent show auditions. I am hoping that you have already documented and told your parents what time your audition is, but just in case you have forgotten, please look at the scanned-in version below.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are now unavailable for your time slot, you are responsible for organizing a trade for a time slot. I cannot manually switch people around who have already signed up. At this point, if you are not on the list and want to audition OR cannot make it to the time slot you took, you are welcome to show up and wait for an open slot Monday-Tuesday. It will be first come first serve, if an time slot opens. You can sign up on the waiting list with my audition helpers during auditions outside of the auditorium, but that does not guarantee an audition.
YOU MUST ARRIVE AT LEAST 10 MINUTES (if not earlier) BEFORE YOUR AUDITION. If you are late and miss your time slot, you will be asked to sign up on the waiting list. To make sure this doesn't happen, I would show up early. We will be running a very tight schedule, as I want to get all students in and out of auditions as quickly as possible and as close to the audition time slot they signed up for.
Thank you! I look forward to seeing you all on Monday and Tuesday!
